TITLE

Part-Time Bilingual Public Relations Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will focus on supporting public relations initiatives led by the agency through media relations, social media, community relations and reputation management, and will report to the co-founder and partner.

He / she will support communications strategies that align with the agency client’s business objectives and provide support on large scale projects.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Write and edit a variety of complex and/or communications including press releases, pitches, bylined articles, talking points, social media content calendars and blogs
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic communications plans led by the agency that incorporate the agency client’s media relations, social media and executive communications
  • Serve as a support resource to the co-founder and partner
  • Translate business and communications objectives in English/Spanish
  • Seek opportunities to amplify agency client stories in local and national media outlets
  • Develop, maintain and manage relationships with local and national media, and influencer relationships
  • Manage and monitor social media channels
  • Track social media advertising budget on Facebook, Instagram and Google AdWords
  • Track and measure results for monthly reporting

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 year max of communications experience (includes internship experience) in one or more of the following disciplines: public relations, media relations and social media
  • Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing proficiency in Spanish/English
  • Must be proficient in Associated Press Style writing
  • 20 hours per week required
